To inspire, enrich and educate diverse listeners of all ages with concerts, mentorships, and other high-quality music programs — all free!

We are passionate about supporting and promoting our local music teachers, the Palmetto Basics, and our community arts partners like the SC Children’s Theatre, Greenville County Youth Orchestra, and the Carolina Youth Symphony.

GSO Offstage

Free and open to the public. Conversations bring Greenville Symphony musicians into the spaces where our community naturally gathers — coffee shops, breweries, art hubs, and more. These pop‑up performances blend live chamber music with relaxed conversation, giving audiences a chance to hear incredible musicians up close, ask questions, and explore the stories behind the sound.

Masterclasses

Experience renowned guest soloists mentoring talented high school and college musicians in live, interactive masterclasses at Smith Recital Hall, SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities.

Pop-Up Concerts

Enjoy live music in unexpected places! Pop-Ups bring small ensembles from the symphony to fun and vibrant locations throughout the community, creating unique and intimate musical experiences.

$5 Student / $10 TEACHER TICKETS

Discounted $5 Student Tickets and $10 Teacher Tickets are available for purchase on the day of the Peace Concert Hall and Gunter Theatre.

Annual Children's Concert

Students experience the thrill of a live Greenville Symphony Orchestra performance—for free! Priority is given to Greenville County Public Schools, but homeschoolers, co-ops, and charter schools are also welcome.

Student Ambassadors

Greenville Symphony Student Ambassadors (GSSA) volunteer at concerts and education events, enjoy performance opportunities, and connect with orchestra musicians—all while earning a free ticket to each concert they support.

Side-by-Side partners Greenville Symphony musicians with Carolina Youth Symphony students, providing coaching and the opportunity to perform together onstage.

Shoulder-to-Shoulder

Shoulder-to-Shoulder pairs 21 GSO musicians with Greenville County Youth Orchestra students for hands-on orchestral training through rehearsals and a final performance.

In-School Elementary Concerts

Small ensembles visit 52 elementary schools to introduce instruments and inspire band, strings or chorus.

Music Mentors

Greenville Symphony Musicians perform and coach Greenville Middle School teachers and students for free.
