2023 Musician Auditions
The Greenville Symphony Orchestra announces the following vacancies:
CONCERTMASTER
Salaried position – $40,000 – 150 services*
PRINCIPAL CLARINET
Salaried position – $25,493 – 150 services*
SECTION PERCUSSION
Per service position – approximately 88 services or
Approximately 59 services, depending on the position
SECTION VIOLIN
Per service position – approximately 88 services or
Approximately 59 services, depending on the position
* Salaried positions include Peace Center, Gunter Theatre, Artists Up Close and special event concerts, as well as up to 35 daytime and weekend Education Engagement services.
$100.00 section per service rate ($95 fee + $5 Electronic Media Compensation per service – mileage and per diem, paid when applicable)
Audition Dates are June 1-4, 2023
A one (1) page resume clearly marked with AUDITION, JUNE 2023 must be received in the GSO office by Friday, April 28, 2023). If invited to audition, a $75 deposit (postmarked by May 11, 2023) is required to secure an audition time (check made payable to Greenville Symphony Orchestra, refunded at time of audition or if notice of cancellation is received by Thursday, May 18, 2023).
