Giving Through Your IRA

If you are age 70½ or older, you may be able to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to the Greenville Symphony Orchestra. A QCD can be a tax-efficient way to support the Symphony because an eligible distribution made directly from your IRA to a qualified charity generally is not included in your taxable income. If you are required to take a minimum distribution, your QCD may also count toward all or part of that annual requirement.

For 2026, individuals may make up to $111,000 in Qualified Charitable Distributions, subject to IRS requirements.
Your IRA gift can help make extraordinary performances possible while bringing the experience of live orchestral music to children and families throughout our community.
