Thanks to the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporations, the Greenville Symphony Orchestra is able to spend more than 10% of its annual budget on music education and appreciation programs.
Through its Education Outreach, the GSO mission is to serve as a catalyst for increasing involvement in music in the Upstate of South Carolina by offering a variety of educational activities and music performances which foster a knowledge and enjoyment of music in general, and orchestra music in particular. We are committed to developing and maintaining a central role in Upstate South Carolina quality of life because we believe that the music discipline is a powerful tool for the intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development of children and our entire community.
