Update: To make sure everyone stays safe, the GSO is currently focusing on online education programming. Be sure to visit the GSO Video library here to see what we’re working on. As soon as it’s safe to get everyone together for live concerts again, we’ll let you know!”

A newer GSO initiative, Sunday Funday was created to provide greater accessibility to our concerts, open up more opportunities for attendance across all age groups, and to remove any risk that might prevent a symphony outing from being a true family affair.

We encourage parents to bring their younger children — ages five through 12 — to any Sunday afternoon Masterworks Series concert on us! For each adult ticket purchased in the Sunday Funday seating section located in the Upper Balcony of the Peace Center Concert Hall, you will receive TWO child tickets FREE.

This family-friendly initiative was designed to alleviate specific obstacles parents may face from enjoying the symphony themselves or introducing their children to the orchestral music experience, such as costs associated with ticket prices, hiring childcare and other related expenses; as well as other logistical challenges families with younger children may face such as seating. Seating for Sunday Funday is a specific block of reserved seats with easy access to and from the auditorium, and where ushers and other patrons know that the standard enforced concert rules are a bit more relaxed.
