The GSO is a cornerstone of the Upstate’s thriving arts scene. Both on and off the stage, we serve as cultural ambassadors in our community, and the core of our service is to generate passion for orchestral music through various forms of engagement. We strive to enhance the value of our shared sense of place, and to foster and progress a local way of life that both embraces and encourages arts and creativity. Our various education and community engagement initiatives inspire and entertain people of all ages and all backgrounds.

Our philosophy is this: we are Greenville’s orchestra, and it belongs to everyone here. From young to old, if there’s anything keeping you from having an experience with the GSO, we seek to remove those barriers for participation — whatever they may be.

So to ensure that as a community resource, the GSO is open and available to everyone in the greater Greenville area, we currently offer adults free concerts open to the public and the Community Ticket Program.
Developed in collaboration with our partner organizations, this customized program offers subsidized concert tickets to the underserved in Greenville County.
