Education and Community Engagement Manager
David Kiser is the Education and Community Manager at the Greenville Symphony Orchestra. He has lived in Greenville for more than twenty years. He has been a long-time advocate for the arts in education. A classically trained pianist, David received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of South Carolina, Columbia and his Master of Music degree from Converse College. He is the host and producer of South Carolina Public Radio’s On the Keys, a weekly program about the piano. He was an adjunct professor of music theory and class piano at Anderson University.
David is also a writer and was the first writer-in-residence at the Pat Conroy Literary Center for his work on a history of music in South Carolina. He is married to Lisa Won Jung Kiser the principal keyboardist of the GSO and they have two daughters.
David is the educational liaison from the Symphony to the community. He looks forward to seeing you at GSO concerts and educational events.
