Guest Artist Enrichment Program
The Guest Artist Enrichment Program offers workshops, masterclasses, and short recitals featuring visiting GSO guest artists. The GSO holds these programs in Upstate colleges, universities, the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, and Greenville County schools for approximately 3,000 students.
In the 2006-2007 season, students experienced lecture-performances by guest artists Olga Kern (piano) and Sharon Isbin (guitar). Masterclasses were held by singers from the concert production of Carmen and by pianist Joyce Yang.
This season, we've been privleged to welcome Rachel Barton Pine, violin, Dame Evelyn Glennie, percussion, Timothy Pitts, double bass, and members of the National Symphony Orchestra as participants in the Guest Artist Enrichment Program.
