Prepare yourself for a performance of epic proportions as the "superstars" of German composers take center stage in this rousing concert!  The program kicks off with Beethoven's dramatic Leonore Overture No. 3, followed by Mendelssohn's radiant Symphony No. 4, Op. 90, also knowns as his "Italian Symphony."  The evening climaxes with Brahms' thrilling Symphony No. 1, Op. 68, with a finale so spectacular and majestic, it is often referred to as "Beethoven's Tenth."

Paul Hyde will lead a Pre-Concert Talk one hour prior to the Saturday and Sunday performances -- Saturday's Pre-Concert Talk will be held in the Concert Hall and Sunday's Pre-Concert Talk will be held in the Founder's Room above Larkins on the River.  These talks are free of charge and last approximately 45 minutes.  Pre-Concert Talks give interesting insights to the program and composers to enhance your concert experience.  Come join us!
